Business intelligence solutions provider, Sagent Technology Inc, on Wednesday revealed that Italian lingerie fashion firm, Lovable Italiana SpA, has selected Sagent Solution to support its sales and marketing analysis.

The California-based company said the deal will allow the Sara Lee unit, which specialises in the design and manufacture of lingerie under the Lovable and Fila Underwear brands, to analyse over 3.5 million order and invoice records.

"We wanted a solution which would give our managers access to daily market analysis, combining data from across the company to help them develop Lovable's sales and marketing strategies," said Giuseppe Zambarbieri, IT director of Lovable.

"We are achieving this with the Sagent Solution, which has already proved easy to use and perfect for the rapid deployment of data warehouses and marts. We now have a workable and flexible business intelligence architecture in place which will empower us to be responsive to trends among our customers."
