Eric Jennings has been appointed as vice president, fashion director, men's, home, food and gifts at retailer Saks Fifth Avenue.

Jennings will be responsible for forecasting seasonal trends and working with the company's merchant and marketing teams on men's fashion and accessories, and home and gifts.

Jennings takes up the post on 8 September and will report to Terron Schaefer, group senior vice president, marketing, at Saks Fifth Avenue.

"His creativity, knowledge of fashion and trends, and business savvy are assets that made him perfect for this position," said Schaefer.

"I am already excited to incorporate some of his ideas into our upcoming creative and know that he will be a keystone force in supporting the merchant team."

Jennings was previously brand director of Hickey Freeman's Hickey collection, and has also worked for Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss and Nordstrom.
