Retail giant Saks Inc on Monday announced a couple of operations and logistics appointments in its Saks Support Group to replace a retiring executive.

The Alabama-based operator of around 350 stores said Dave Baker, EVP of operations and logistics will retire on January 31, with Mike Rodgers and Dan Dasinger assuming his responsibilities.

Rodgers, SVP of credit, will be promoted to EVP of operations, e-business and credit, while Dasinger, VP of logistics, will be promoted to SVP of logistics, with responsibility over all distribution, logistics, and transportation functions.

Saks president and CAO, Jim Coggin, said: "We are pleased to promote Mike Rodgers and Dan Dasinger to these important posts. Each of these individuals will be instrumental in assuring that SSG continues to provide high value, efficient services to each of our operating units."
