The official launch of the new underwear collection from Sean John, one of the world's fastest growing lines of men's urban sportswear, takes place on Wednesday with a fashion show at Bloomingdale's flagship store in Manhattan.

Following the success of Sean John and Sean John Boys, the introduction of the underwear line marks yet another step towards cementing Sean John's vision of a lifestyle brand.

"When we researched the men's underwear market, we discovered a need for a well made line of underwear and loungewear with a real fashion attitude," said Jeffrey Tweedy, executive vice president of Sean John. "In creating this line, our goal was to set new industry standards in the areas of design, fabric and workmanship."

The underwear collection offers an assortment of boxers, briefs and tanks available in cotton or silk, while the loungewear line consists of pajamas, robes and lounge shorts available in cotton, silk and cashmere.

Sean John, a privately held company, was created by music icon and producer Sean "Puffy" Combs, who made his fashion debut with a collection for the spring 1999 season. The contemporary line of men's and boy's sportswear is sold in better department stores across the country as well as select retailers around the world.
