UK shoe retailer Jones Bootmaker on Tuesday announced it has renewed its distribution contract with transportation and logistics provider Ryder Plc after an initial period of five years.

The Eastbourne-based operator of 75 stores said in a statement the renewal is based on a rolling contract with a flexibility that which allows it to focus on its merchandising and retail operations.

Jones Bootmaker spokesman, Iain Long, said: "Ryder has good experience in this sector and has delivered a very high level of service over the last 12 months. They have worked closely with us to develop, refine and improve our store delivery process over the years."
