Textile, footwear and apparel show Source Africa is to return this year with the aim of boosting investment into the region and ensuring sustainable job creation within the sector, with Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) secured as the latest sponsor.

Taken over by trade show organiser Messe Frankfurt in September last year, Source Africa will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in South Africa from 20-21 June.

Over 150 leading manufacturers, suppliers and service providers are expected to attend in its seventh edition. The show promotes African made apparel, textiles and footwear and encourages interaction on a regional and international level.

The event aims to showcase the quality, creativity, reliability and sophistication of textile, apparel and footwear manufacturing in Africa targeting a global audience of buyers and decision makers. It will bring together business professionals from around the globe, providing a platform for African and international buyers to network with African manufacturers, suppliers and service providers.

Source Africa will also feature insightful seminars and workshops; details of which are yet to be announced.

"The primary reason for Source Africa is to promote African made apparel, textiles and footwear and to encourage interaction on a regional and international level. The event also aims to boost investment into the region and ensure sustainable job creation within the sector," organisers say.

Source Africa will also be sponsored by WRAP this year, alongside Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and BBF Safety Group.
