Stretch woven fabric manufacturer Tweave Inc of Norton, MA has introduced two new lines developed specifically for the intimate apparel market and sold under the Durastretch brand.

The new products are perfect for shapewear claims Tweave, because they provide power and support with minimal bulkiness.

Their durability comes from the woven fabric construction, which allows yarns to lie across each other at right angles, as opposed to the looped stitches of a knit fabric. This woven configuration allows the spandex to move freely, therefore taking full advantage of the stretch and recovery properties that were engineered into the yarn itself.

"Stretch woven fabrics will retain their original shape, and offer superior control with less bulk; therefore yielding a better fit and improved contouring qualities," says Tweave's general manager Mary Reardon.
