A UK-based company which has designed a unique process for printing leather in full colour has reported interest in the innovative product from around the world.

TheMagicTouch, headquartered in Dunstable, has developed a set of special transfer papers for the transfer of full colour images onto to leather goods.

The process can be used for printed applications on a wide range of leather items such as shoes, sandals, boots, handbags, gloves and clothing.

"We have successfully installed the system into numerous shoe manufacturers both in the UK and Far East who see this as a great opportunity in creating new markets especially in the field of fashion and that of licensing of short runs products," TheMagicTouch said.

"The big interest comes from the fact that the entry level cost for all the required equipment is now less than £10,000. This includes the colour copier, heat press, consumables, and full training and installation."
