• Q2 revenues up 3% to SEK32.4bn
  • Sales up 12% in local currencies
  • Comparable unit sales up 2%

Fashion retail giant H&M posted a double-digit rise in second quarter sales in local currencies, but saw revenues move up only 3% thanks to the strengthening Swedish krona.

The company said comparable unit sales had increased by 2% in the three months to 31 May, adding that May group sales were up 12%, with comps rising 2%.

H&M operated 2,297 stores in total around the world at 31 May this year, up from 2,062 12 months earlier.

H&M said it would publish June sales figures on 15 July.
