UK clothing retailer Supergroup has signed a ten-year distribution agreement with F J Benjamin to grow the Superdry brand in Malaysia and Singapore.

F J Benjamin will open three stores in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur by early 2014. The first will open at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in November this year. The group said it is looking for an appropriate location in Singapore.

Supergroup CEO Julian Dunkerton said: "We have a clear strategy to partner, outside Europe, with leading distributors in territories around the world to further internationalise and globalise the Superdry brand."

The news comes after the company inked a deal with the Demsa Group to enter Turkey in September and partnered with Reliance Brands in India.

Earlier this month, Supergroup said it was on the verge of signing agreements to enter Chile and Peru with Cencosud, after reporting a 0.8% rise in full-year pre tax profit to GBP51.8m (US$78.2m).
