SustainU clothing is made using only recycled material and American labour

Apparel manufacturer SustainU, which uses fabrics made from 100% recycled materials that are manufactured entirely in the US, has opened its first retail store.

The new shop in Morgantown, West Virginia, will feature its line of T-shirts, hoodies and polos made from recycled cotton scraps and plastic bottles. SustainU partners with factories like the Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind (WSIFB) to produce its apparel.

"We are the only apparel company in the United States that uses only recycled material and American labour to manufacture its clothing," said company CEO and founder Chris Yura.

"It is important for future generations that businesses become more sustainable. This is why we are trying to bring back jobs to the US and do it in an environmentally responsible way."
