Trim specialist Tag-It Pacific Inc on Wednesday said it expects second quarter earnings of 10 cents a diluted share on sales of around $20 million.

The California-based company said sales jumped $5.2m, or 35 per cent, to $19.8m in the 13 weeks to June 30 as it was boosted by a surge in to trim-related sales from its Mexico operations.

It added the acquisition of exclusive license rights to a new stretch waistband technology and a $10m two-year exclusive supply agreement signed with jeans giant Levi Strauss & Co should swell its quarterly revenue lines "significantly".

It added it expects to release its second-quarter earnings before August 14.
