Trim management company Tag-It Pacific has signed its second franchise agreement, opening up the South East Asia region to the Talon brand.

Talon will provide rolled zippers in bulk, along with equipment for finishing the zippers for inclusion in finished garments.

The agreement allows the franchisee to distribute Talon Zippers throughout that region and includes a $10.5 million minimum-purchase guarantee during the initial three-year term. Production and orders are expected to commence on 1 January.

This is the second franchise agreement Talon has completed, following the signing of a franchisee in the Central Asia region in October.
Tag-It's chief executive officer Colin Dyne said: "For the initial roll-out, we have targeted 15 markets, which represent $600m in zipper sales. This will allow us to expand the geographic footprint and market penetration for Talon without additional capital expenditures for manufacturing capacity and sales and marketing initiatives.

"It also gives us the ability to service our customers, which include both the brands and retailers, on a global basis as this footprint rolls out."

Tag-It Pacific specialises in the distribution of a full range of trim items to manufacturers of fashion apparel, specialty retailers and mass merchandisers.
