Taiwanese textile manufacturer Tainan Enterprises Co Ltd is expanding its operations in Vietnam with the addition of an extra 50,000 spindles at one of its five spinning plants in the country.

It is also planning to build a sixth spinning plant while affiliate company Nampex Co Ltd has begun construction of a new dyeing plant to satisfy demand from local textile businesses. The dyeing plant will have a monthly capacity of one million pounds and will also be equipped with 60 knitting machines.

Hung Jui-te, general manager of the company, told the Taiwan Economic News that Taiwan Enterprises’ expansion plans aim to meet rising demand from both local and exports markets.
