Tandy Leather Factory has become a participant in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) initiative of the US Customs and Border Protection Agency.

This worldwide supply chain security initiative aims to improve US border security without hampering trade, and Tandy Leather Factory says the benefits include a more secure supply chain for its suppliers and customers, a reduction in the number of cargo inspections, and reduced border wait times.

To earn the badge of C-TPAT compliance, companies must meet a range of security requirements, such as fencing around facilities and the use of electronic access systems.

Furthermore, their upstream supply chain partners - from manufacturers to shippers - must do the same.

Tandy Leather Factory sells a range of leather, leatherworking tools, buckles and adornments for belts, leather dyes and finishes.
