Target has revealed it will partner with fashion designer Jason Wu for a limited-edition range of women's apparel, handbags, and scarves to launch in February 2012.

"My collection for Target embodies my signature aesthetic of feminine sophistication, with a mischievous nod to the 1960s," said Wu yesterday (3 October). "I've had an incredible experience partnering with Target and I am looking forward to bringing these affordable designs to women across the country."

The line will range in price from US$19.99 to $59.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $49.99 for handbags and scarves. It will be available from 5 February to 6 March next year at most target stores and on Target.com.

Target has a history of partnering with fashion designers including Zac Posen, Rodarte and Jonathan Saunders, through its Target International and Designer Collaborations lines. The US retailer said the Jason Wu for Target collection is a standalone limited-edition line, separate from these programmes.

Its recent collaboration with Italian fashion house Missoni crashed the Target website and sold out within hours.
