A range of padded bras and skimpy g-strings for girls as young as eight are set to be sold in Australia despite a similar racy range being attacked by welfare chiefs when it went on sale in the UK.

Retail giant Coles Myer has agreed a deal with US kids fashion label mary-kateandashley to sell the underwear at its Target stores.

But it has already sparked claims the range could lead to girls being targeted by paedophiles. UK retailer Argos dismissed similar claims in April when it was blasted for selling a pre-teens fashion collection.
