Leading British-based fashion chain, Ted Baker, announced on Monday that total retail sales for the six week period to Christmas Eve jumped 24 per cent compared to the same period the previous year.

That increase follows a near 60 per cent jump in total retail sales for in the seven weeks to September.

In a statement, Ted Baker chief executive, Ray Kelvin, said: "The Ted Baker brand has performed strongly during the important Christmas period and we remain confident in the outcome for the full financial year."
