Seamless apparel specialist Tefron narrowed its first quarter loss after claiming a return to global leadership of the segment with an 8.4% sales increase.

The Israeli company, which makes intimate apparel and athletic wear, said the revenue rise was mostly brought about by its recent acquisition of the Nouvelle business.

“Tefron has long maintained technological leadership in the seamless segment, which focuses on intimate apparel and athletic wear, and we will continue to invest significant efforts in the technology and the development of new products to maintain the sales leadership position we have now regained,” said CEO Amit Meridor.
