Textile and garment exports in Estonia are increasing faster than another other industry, it has been revealed.
This section of the export industry was up 12.7 per cent in just one month, compared with other industries whose exports increased by an average of four per cent.
Manufacturers say exports have grown due to firms reducing their role as subcontractors and focusing on direct business.
One manufacturer said exports are now up by around 30 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Over 80 per cent of Estonia's textile and garment exports go to EU countries, mainly Finland, Sweden, Germany and the UK.
