Romania's textile and clothing exports slipped 1.5% from January to August, according to data from the National Statistics Institute, reported Curierul National.

While exports were EUR2.7bn (US$3.44bn), imports of textile and clothing rose 2% to EUR2.2bn in the eight-month period.
The country's total textile and clothing output is expected to fall 20% this year following an 11% decrease last year, the report said.
