The Korea Federation of Textile Industries has announced that textile exports from the country increased slightly during November.

The rise of six per cent to US$1.47bn on the same period last year sees the end of a downward slide in exports lasting 17 months.

However, the rise in textile exports was also met with a rise in imports, increasing 17.2 per cent to US$494m on the same period last year.

Increased competition with China and the depreciation of the won were blamed for the decline in exports.
