Indian textile chiefs are prepared to offer technical help and expertise to their counterparts in the UAE in a bid to boost bilateral trade, a senior official revealed on Tuesday.

India’s minister of textiles, Kashiram Rana, said during a visit to Dubai he is keen to help other nations develop their textile and clothing industries.

"The UAE is an important trade hub and a gateway to this region, and we would be keen to further cement our traditional close ties," he said.

He added he would be willing to send a top-level textile trade delegation to the UAE in the next few months to explore new trade links.
