US teen fashion retailer The Buckle has reported a 13% jump in fourth-quarter profit on the back of increasing sales.

For the quarter ended 28 January, net income reached US$56.1m against $49.5m in the same period of the previous year.

Sales increased 11.2% to $337.1m, with comparable-store sales rising 8%. Online sales increased 30.9% to $27.6m.

For the full-year, net income rose 12.5% to $151.5m. Sales were up 11.9% to $1.1bn on the back of an 8.4% comparable-sales rise. And online sales increased 25% to $78m.
