Taking a look at the week ahead for the footwear and apparel industry, here is a snapshot of just-style's latest news and insights agenda.

This week just-style will be turning its attention to apparel group Phillips-Van Heusen (PVH), which is reporting its first quarter results.

The company, which acquired Tommy Hilfiger last year, reported net income of US$52.2m for the fourth quarter of 2010, from US$27m during the prior year period.

Revenue for that period was $1.4bn, up from $614.6m in the prior year period, attributed to $783.5m from the addition of Tommy Hilfiger and 18% sales growth at Calvin Klein.

Just last week PVH announced that Tommy Hilfiger Group and fashion retailer The Bay for 90 The Bay stores across Canada to offer Tommy Hilfiger men's wear.

Meanwhile, just-style will be providing a glimpse forward to 2012, when sporting goods firms will be turning their attention to the Olympics.

Lat week just-style was invited by Adidas to hear about its sponsorship of the games, and how designer Stella McCartney has been hired as creative director for Team GB.
