Here comes the bride...all dressed in leather? According to The Knot, the #1 wedding website, today's brides are looking beyond the classic white wedding dress on their search for a look that better reflects their individual style. In response to this growing trend, The Knot asked 17 of today's hottest ready-to-wear designers to take their own unique spin on the wedding gown. The resulting fashions will be auctioned off on Thursday, June 15th, at The (K)Not Your Average Wedding Gown Fashion Show & Charity Auction in New York City to benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).

From Jill Stuart to Tocca, each of the participating designers, who do not normally create bridalwear, designed an eclectic array of non-traditional wedding looks. Highlights include a two piece, embroidered"wedding in the country" dress by Shoshanna, a silver beaded cropped top and wrap skirt for a hot "wedding in the city" by FUBU, and a glamorous white leather "wedding in Hollywood" sheath from A.B.S by Allen Schwartz.

"At The Knot, we've always encouraged to-be-weds to personalize their weddings. A unique wedding gown is the perfect way for a bride to be fresh and different," says Carley Roney, co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Knot, who will host the event. "In addition to raising money for a very worthy cause, we're hoping that the bridal wear featured at The (K)Not Your Average Wedding Gown Auction will inspire designers to continue to push the envelope of bridal style."

All 17 designer looks are on the "online" auction block at The Knot. Log onto www.theknot.com/gownauction for detailed information and a look at each of the designer's stunning creations. Bidding on all of the items starts at $100, a true bargain, as most of the gowns have a retail value of well over $1,000. The bidding portion of the online auction is being hosted by The Auction Channel, which can be linked to directly from The Knot.

Featuring models from Next Management, the fashion show will be capped off by a special modeling appearance by the reigning Miss USA, Lynette Cole, who will show off the white-hot, Swarovski crystal-encrusted bikini by Malia Mills. Following the fashion show, 10 of the 17 gowns will be featured in a live auction, hosted by auctioneer Elyse Luray-Marx of The Auction Channel. The other 7 dresses are available for bidding exclusively online at The Knot until 5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, June 15.

The (K)Not Your Average Wedding Gown Fashion Show & Charity Auction will take place this Thursday, June 15th at The Tribeca Rooftop (www.tribec.com), located at 2 Debrosses Street in New York City. All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction will go to The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
