Maus Frères Group (MFG) has appointed Thierry Guibert as the new CEO of Lacoste, succeeding José-Luis Duran, who is stepping down after more than five years at the helm.

"Lacoste is turning a new page in its history and I am pleased to welcome Thierry Guibert, who brings us all his experience and his success at the head of an international group," said Maus Frères chairman Didier Maus.

Guibert has served in various positions within the PPR Group (renamed Kering in 2013), which he joined in 1999, contributing to its strategic move from retail to luxury goods.

In 2008, he became chairman and CEO of PPR-owned home appliances and furnishings retail chain Conforama. Three years later, Guibert was responsible for Conforama's merger with South African counterpart Steinhoff.
