Tibbett & Britten France has revealed it has won a major long-term deal to handle the logistics operations of leading French fashion company Rodier.

The wholly-owned unit of Tibbett & Britten Group Plc said Rodier has outsourced its 226,000 square foot national distribution centre in Cambrai.

The deal will see the firm handle more than one million garments a year as it supplies Rodier's 160 shops and 150 concessions in France along with 300 multi-brand outlets worldwide.

It also means Tibbett & Britten now has four clothing and textiles distribution centres in France.

Group CEO, Mike Arrowsmith, said: "This agreement reinforces the translation of our expertise in the clothing and textiles sector into mainland Europe.

"It confirms our European leadership in this sector, already strengthened by recent signings of new contracts with Muji in France and the Cortefiel Group in Spain."

Financial details were not revealed but Tibbett & Britten will continue to employ all former Rodier warehousing and driving personnel.
