Revenues at luxury leather group Tod's climbed 14.2 per cent year-on-year in the first-half of 2002 to 167.1 million euros - including a small rise in the US market - it was announced on Tuesday.

The company said sales in its core domestic market climbed 4.1 per cent while other European sales soared 34.3 per cent from the year-ago period.

Those interim results prompted Tod's chairman and CEO, Diego Della Valle, to say he was "optimistic" about the firm's full-year results.
