Ermatinger was SVP of global sourcing and production for True Religion

David Conn, the chief executive of upscale denim brand True Religion Apparel, has stepped down and will be replaced by global sourcing executive John Ermatinger.

Ermatinger, SVP of global sourcing and production, will take up the role of CEO with immediate effect. Current chief executive Conn is stepping down, the company said. No reason was given for his departure or his next move.

Ermatinger will build on the strategic initiatives that have been implemented since TowerBrook’s acquisition in July 2013 and will guide the company into its next phase of development, the company said.

Prior to joining True Religion, Ermatinger served as the CEO of Tommy Hilfiger (Asia Pacific), president of Gap Inc. (Asia Pacific), president of the Americas for Levi Strauss, and general manager of Nike (Asia Pacific).
