Anti-dumping import duties are to be reviewed by Turkey on all Indonesian polyester staple fibre products.

However the revision will only affect producers who have never exported polyester staple fibres into the country, and will not lift the extra sanctions placed against PT Polysindo and PT Indorama.

Sanctions were first placed on Indonesian imports of the product in March 1999. Exporters are currently subject to a 37.4 per cent anti-dumping import duty of their product, discouraging many exporters of polyester staple fibres from targeting Turkey.
