Over 60 of Turkey’s leading textiles and trimmings producers are coming to London to present UK buyers with a preview of fabrics for spring/summer 04 at the Turkish Fashion Fabric Exhibition being held at Olympia 2, from 16-17 January 2003.

The event will provide fashion business professionals with an opportunity to view a wide spectrum of innovative, quality men’s, women’s and children’s wear fabrics and trims direct from Turkish manufactures. Many of the exhibitors are 100 per cent vertically integrated and are able to produce finished clothing, too.

The first edition of the Turkish Fashion Fabric Exhibition London held in August was described as a tremendous success by The Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (ITKIB) which organized the event. It attracted over 1,000 buyers, designers and fabric technologists from the UK’s leading clothing retailers and suppliers such as Arcadia, French Connection, Marks & Spencer, Next, Dewhirst and SR Gent.

ITKIB chairman Mr Oguz Satici says: “Our aim is to foster even greater synergy between the UK and Turkish industries. It is clear from the positive reaction to the first event that buyers are keen to build on existing relationships and to develop new points of supply in Turkey. Turkish mills offer an unbeatable combination of on-trend, high quality, competitively-priced fabric, produced within easy reach of the UK.”
