Performance products company Under Armour is expected to add 350 jobs near its corporate headquarters in Baltimore, it was reported by local press.

The apparel firm will station the workers in new offices nearby its HQ, which already employs 450 people, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The local newspaper said that Under Armour will use a 7.2-acre property between Beason Street and Key Highway, leased on a six-year basis.

It follows earnings growth at Under Armour, which opened its first US store last month.

The company posted a 25.4% increase in third quarter net income to US$20m, and raised its profit outlook for the full-year to between $81.5m and $83.0m, an increase of 42% to 45% over 2006.

Under Armour could not immediately be reached for comment.
