Clothing retailer Uniqlo has announced plans to open its two largest flagships in the world in New York during October.

The Japan-based company said yesterday (31 August) that it will open its largest store on 14 October on Fifth Avenue, and then its second-largest on 34th Street on 21 October.

Uniqlo said it will be the largest single retailer on Fifth Avenue and will be its second store in the country, after it opened its first in 2006.

As part of the launch, Uniqlo has launched a series of promotional activities, including a roller skating rink below the High Line, six Uniqlo Cube shops that can bee seen at the High Line and at events around the city and three pop-up Uniqlo shops which will offer select products.
