Uniqlo Co and textle maker Toray Industries will be marking the second stage of their working relationship this winter with the launch of a Heat Tech line of undershirts, tank tops and other apparel.

Launched four years ago, Uniqlo will now add the new Heat Tech Moist line to the series, with 12 types of clothing for women and four types for children.

In addition to its strong thermal quality, the series also moisturises the skin by incorporating milk protein in the fibre. The Moist line will also include the addition of women's bra camisole and bra tank top for the first time.

Uniqlo and Toray plan to boost sales of Heat Tech items by 66% on the year to 20m units during the autumn and winter seasons, the companies said.
