Dutch firm TenCate has won an order from the US Marine Corps for its flame-resistant Defender M fabric.

The contract, which is for an undisclosed sum, follows an earlier order in March this year from the US Army for the fabric worth as much as $64m.

The flame-resistant camouflage material has been specifically designed to provide comfort, durability and outstanding burn protection, and is being supplied by TenCate Protective Fabrics USA.
