Clothing and cap maker Veltex Corporation has named Robert St-Amant as the new chief operating officer of Veltex Canada.

Mr St-Amant has more than 15 years experience in the retail and corporate apparel business in Canada, including sales, strategic planning, market analysis, budgeting, inventory control, account tracking and customer service.
   
Javeed Matin, CEO of Veltex Corporation, says Mr St-Amant will handle all aspects of the Veltex-Canada business, which has more than 1,400 clients.

His appointment will "allow corporate management to concentrate on broader corporate interests and the continued re-organisation of the various subsidiaries that make up Veltex Corporation."

Veltex Corporation, headquartered in City of Industry, California, has factories in Bangladesh where it manufactures brand name apparel and caps for the promotional products industry as well as the retail trade.

The company's Veltex Apparel division recently added ring-spun organic cotton garments to existing clothing lines after secured exclusive rights to a major supply of organically grown cotton from India.
