The European procurement team at apparel maker VF Corporation has invested in a spend analysis tool to provide visibility across its purchasing data.

The SmartAnalytics software from Iasta is designed to help the firm answer questions such as: Who are its biggest suppliers? How many suppliers are there in each spend category? and What percentage of spend is off-contract or in excess of contract spend?

With more than 30 brands including Wrangler, The North Face, Lee, Vans and Nautica, VF Corp is one of the largest apparel manufacturers in the world with annual revenue exceeding $7bn.

Its rapid and steady growth means that a key part of the company’s success will be determined by knowing exactly where and how money is being spent.
