VF Corporation, the world's largest jeans manufacturer, on Wednesday said its VF Imagewear division is to buy Harley-Davidson apparel licensee Holoubek Inc.

Details of the acquisition, which is expected to close in January 2005, were not released.

Holoubek has annual sales of over $40 million, making products such as T-shirts, fleece and other casual wear which are sold exclusively in Harley-Davidson dealerships around the country.

Ed Doran, president of Nashville-based VF Imagewear, said that the company looked forward to working with Holoubek - and with Harley-Davidson and its dealers - to further expand the business.

VF Imagewear, which sells occupational and branded sports clothing, entered the Harley Davidson network of licensed apparel lines in February 2003 with the purchase of American Licensed Products.

VF Corp's brands include Lee, Wrangler, North Face and Nautica.
