Bridget Ryan-Berman, incoming CEO of Victoria's Secret Direct

Victoria's Secret Direct, the internet and catalogue division of lingerie retailer Victoria's Secret, has tapped the former CEO of Giorgio Armani Corp as its new chief executive officer.

Bridget Ryan-Berman will replace Pia Ferrario who is stepping down after the holiday season and moving into an advisory role with the company, where she has worked for 23 years. Ferrario joined Limited Brands in 1989 and was named chief executive officer of Victoria's Secret Direct in 2007.

"With her vision and leadership, Pia has been instrumental in the success of our direct business," said Leslie Wexner, chairman and CEO of parent company Limited Brands.

"I am confident that we will continue to build on our dominant e-commerce position under Bridget's leadership," added Sharen Jester Turney, president and CEO of Victoria's Secret. "Her impressive career as a merchant leader for some of the world's most successful and respected brands will translate well for our team and our customers."

Prior to her career at Armani, Ryan-Berman was chief operating officer of Apple's retail division, and served in a variety of leadership roles with Ralph Lauren including group president of global retail.
