Apparel retailer Charles Voegele is looking to expand in eastern and northern European markets from 2008 according to CEO Daniel Reinhard.

Voegele is currently restructuring its operations to allow it to pursue the growth plan, investigating a total of five foreign subsidiaries, Reinhard told Swiss daily HandelsZeitung.

While not detailing which countries the company is eyeing, Reinhard said they are not likely to include France, England or Italy.

He told HandelsZeitung the company wants to break into three new markets by the end of next year, adding that the firm has enough fiscal assets for its planned growth.
