Retail giant Wal-Mart has sacked three executives and four managers from its headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, for breaking company regulations.

A spokesman for the company said that the sackings were not related to sales performance, criminal investigation or financial impropriety, and that the company didn't foresee any more similar terminations.

According to a report in the Benton County Daily Record, executive vice president of Wal-Mart Stores, Jim Haworth, was one of those laid off.

Haworth has been with Wal-Mart for 20 years.
