Intimate apparel company Warnaco Group Inc has netted a 15 per cent rise in revenue so far this year and is well placed to fulfil its long-term aims, president and chief executive Joe Gromek said in a Piper Jaffray conference yesterday.

During the conference, which was broadcast on the internet, Gromek and chief financial officer Larry Rutkowski said that the Warner's, Calvin Klein underwear and jeans wear, and Chaps brands were all doing well.

Swimwear, however, has seen only a static number of orders during the year to date, although Gromek said he was positive about longer-term possibilities for the segment.

The company expects to make at least high single-digit sales increases and annual double-digit operating margin growth over the coming three years.
