Fashion retailer The Wet Seal Inc is set to deploy the Vendor Enablement and Management Program from supply chain integration service provider SPS Commerce.

It represents the retailer's first implementation of electronic infrastructure across its 570-store chain.

As part of the installation, Wet Seal will onboard all of its suppliers with Vendor Enablement Service, which includes EDI testing and migration services, to ensure seamless integration regardless of electronic transaction capabilities.

The company will also utilise SPS' Ship to Store Services to implement cost-effective business processes that will improve electronic order management.

"In partnership with SPS Commerce and our vendors, we will be able to implement a more seamless order, delivery and payment process," Wet Seal central planning and allocation senior vice-president Joseph Deckop said.

"We are very impressed with SPS' trusted, proven solutions and their ability to simultaneously bring cost-efficiency to our company and ease-of-use to our vendors."
