Footwear and apparel firm Wolverine World Wide has appointed Christopher E Hufnagel to the position of president of retail.

Hufnagel will report to James D Zwiers, senior vice president of Wolverine, and will be responsible for all direct-to-consumer operations for the company, including e-commerce.

Hufnagel was most recently the vice president of retail for Under Armour and prior to joining Under Armour was vice president of brand store experience for retailer Gap Inc.

Zwiers said: "We are excited to have an executive of Chris' caliber join the Wolverine team and look forward to the significant contributions he will make to the development and execution of the important retail initiative here at Wolverine."
