Prices for wool have continued to rise as supplies decrease and demand increases.

The nation's stockpile is closer to being sold off. The Australian Wool Innovation has reported strong demand across for all ranges except the 19 micron.

Strong demand means the price of wool has remained above the 800 cents a kilogram mark for the past 18 weeks.

WoolStock, set up to manage a stockpile of 3.8 million bales of Australian wool says this is now below 200,000 bales.
