Taiwan’s leading wool producers, Reward Wool Industry Corp and Chuwa Wool Industry Co (Taiwan) Ltd, on Thursday posted mixed financial results for June but both cut production rates.

Reward said its revenue fell 23.3 per cent from the year-ago period to NT$210 million, while Chuwa saw its revenue climbed 15.5 per cent to NT$119m from NT$103m in 2001.

Reward added its revenue for the first half was flat at NT$1.3 billion, while Chuwa said its revenue for the six-month period grew 3.4 per cent to NT$708m.
