Japanese ladies' wear wholesaler and direct importer Woollen Co is to start selling US ladies' fashion brand Elie Tahari from the autumn/winter 2005 season onwards.

Woollen has set a JPY500 million sales target for the brand's first year, and a further JPY2.0bn in the third year.

Woollen operates directly managed stores across Japan in which sells renowned foreign brands such as UToo, Gandini, Scherrer, Renaud Pellegrino and Beppe Spadacini.
