Yunsa, manufacturer of fabrics for men's and women's apparel, is aiming for sales of US$85 million in 2005.

"We have been making new investments to modernise our plant for the last two years. After new machinery was installed, our total capacity reached 10 million metres. We now expect to close the year with US$85 million in revenue," said Hakan Degirmenci deputy general manager.

According to Mr Degirmenci, the company exports 75 per cent of its production. "We are now working to full capacity," he said, adding: "Over the next few years we will continue to make new investments to increase our capacity."

Yunsa, which is one of the companies within Sabanci Holdings, exports to customers in the US, Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, the UK, Russia and Canada.

"Thanks to our extensive marketing and distribution channels, we supply to leading brands such as Max Mara, Armani, Hugo Boss, S Oliver, Esprit, Zara, Massimo Dutti, Marks & Spencer, Next, Tommy Hilfiger, Keneth Cole, JC Penney, Jones, and Calvin Klein," said Mr Degirmenci.
