Inditex SA, the Spanish retailer that owns the Zara fashion stores, will today open the first 10 outlets in its new lingerie chain, Oysho.

Oysho, which will sell underwear, nightwear and clothing, including casual wear, urban sportswear, hosiery, and swim-wear as well as accessories and cosmetics, will be situated in five Spanish cities - Barcelona, Valencia, A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Fuengirola - and four Portuguese locations (Braga, Faro, Guia and Funchal).

The chain will offer quality products at good prices, with new products being introduced every week 80 per cent of its collection renewed each season.

Oysho is the Inditex Group's sixth chain and joins Zara, Pull and Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Stradivarius. Its headquarters are located in Tordera (Barcelona) and house a team of professionals specialised in the design, production and marketing of lingerie. Its distribution and logistics centre is also located at the same site.

Inditex plans to open 15 new Oysho stores by the end of the year in Belgium, Holland, Germany and Greece.
